SERVICE
Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguishing Systems are emergency response systems that need to be inspected annually or semi-annually. This inspection is to certify that the equipment is in operating condition and is safe.
Annual Service
Fire Extinguishers are typically inspected annually. The inspection is to determine the proper contents of the fire extinguishing agent and the proper pressure needed to discharge the agent. The extinguisher is also checked for damage and proper mounting and location. On a five or six year interval the integrity of the shell is tested and the extinguishing agent is examined. These are more extensive procedures and may require the removal of the extinguisher to our shop for testing.
Semi-Annual Service
Fire Extinguisher Systems are serviced semi-annually. The added complexity on the detection system makes more frequent inspections necessary. At each of these inspections the detection system is tested to verify that it would function properly in an emergency. The distribution system and its nozzles are inspected and cleaned if necessary to insure a proper discharge.
