SYSTEMS - KITCHENS

Commercial Kitchens have a unique fire risk associated with the cooking appliances and associated exhaust hoods and ducts. This is one of the more frequent sources of fire loss in restaurants. Wet chemical systems have replaced the less-effective dry chemical systems typically used until a few years ago.

Wet chemical systems are the only systems currently listed as meeting the requirements of U/L 300, which is the current standard for fire protection in kitchens.  Every kitchen owner should upgrade to a U/L 300 listed system to insure minimum fire protection and compliance with current fire codes.
